Did we tell you we have baby goats? We have 7 kids now - 5 boys and 2 girls. Now we have a breather until next month
Cold Moon Farm was founded on the dream that it would create good, clean food for all that visited it. A small working farm, Cold Moon generates several great food products that feed our B&B visitors, Sustainable group events and weddings, and our Culinary Center students.
Daily chores consist of many activities, starting with feeding all of our animals: grain and hay. We milk our goats morning and evening and keep their water buckets full. Collecting fresh chicken and duck eggs is a big priority, as is keeping all of animals homes clean and dry. Farmer Irene and farm manager Melvin, along with Ed, Sarah, Jennifer and Andrew are happy to educate our interested guests in the workings of the farm. Farm Tours are arranged complimentary to our Lodging Guests, but are also available to the general public, by appointment. Our philosophy is, the more the merrier. We love to share our great farm and its animals with those that want to learn about small scale farming. You can join us to stay in one of our guest rooms, enjoy breakfast made by hosts Ed, Irene and Sarah - made with many of our own farm raised products. You can tour the farm, pick vegetables from the farm, eat from the farm, participate in planned farm events, plan your wedding around the farm, and most importantly- learn from the farm. Join us for a visit! |
